What does Starz V2 look like?

Version 2 of the Learning Platform provides some exciting new features bringing together the latest learning platform and social network technologies. It provides an excellent introduction to learning through ICT with three age related themes suited to different age group;

• Little Starz - for Nursery/Early Years ( to be finalised Autumn 09 available Spring 2010)
• A Starter Interface aimed at Years 1-3 in a primary school
• An advanced interface aimed at the older pupils in a primary school

Starz gives learners the tools they will need for safe on-line interaction inside and outside the classroom including : 

• monitored communication and collaboration tools e.g. web-based email, discussion forums, blogging and wiki tools 
• safe and secure, individual online learning space for the school workforce and pupils enabling anytime, anywhere learning;
• tools to enable teachers to manage and tailor content to a pupil’s needs and learning styles, and to track progress.

• safe routes to web based resources to support learning
• collaborative projects to engage individuals and classess in using technology
